Shin-Kage Ryu Style

Back for Wednesday weapons class for the first time in a really, really long time. (Because, sadly, without the Frechette mobile we aren't making Wednesday pilgrimages to TRC.) Felt good that I remembered the forms we were working on well enough that I could help the beginners. Actually, all of the elements except one (we did all eight elements of the kata) felt strong. This gives me hope that I can get my paired forms in shape for my Ikkyu exam in February.

Speaking of shinsa, my nikyu shinsa had to be rescheduled and will be Monday, 30 Nov. If you're interested in checking it out, let me know.

kokyu-nage shiho-nage tenkan
kokyu-nage hantai-tenkan
kokyu-nage hiki-hiraki
kokyu-nage ?-nage tenkan (quick-style shiho-nage where you grab the fingers as the attacker comes to grab)
